[vlc-devel] Contributing to VideoLan

Sir/Madam I am highly interested in VLC media player and want to learn how
things work and want to contribute too. Please guide me a little bit-
1.From where should I start?
2. I joined the mailing and updated the readme file and mailed that patch
too but how do I know what is the response of team over that.
3. Also Sir on GitHub there are no issues so like how to start and see what
can be done.
