Hello VLC developers,
I recently built VLC from source and worked on the audio equalizer filter.
This patch introduces soft clipping using tanhf() in the equalizer output
to reduce distortion when the signal is amplified.
The change is limited to modules/audio_filter/equalizer.c.
I am interested in contributing further as part of Google Summer of Code
2026
and would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Abhinav Aswin
