Vlc - problems

   This sounds to me like an X11 problem, the display flushing taking
too much CPU time.

   Could you try with a smaller window, and see if you get the same
problem ? For instance with `vlc --width 300 --height 225'.

   This is quite strange. Could you be more precise about your CPU, your
X version, and your screen depth ? Also, which version of the vlc did
you compile, was it the same as the RPMs ? Does switching color off with
the `c' key help ?

   Also, if you tried the 0.1.99d tar.gz, beware that it is very buggy,
especially the plugins stuff. 0.1.99c didn't have this problem but was a
bit slower, you could try if as well.
