Hi Kevin,

this bug is due to the NVidia drivers <= 0.9-6 when you're in high resolution.

if you upgrade your NVidia drivers to 0.9-769, it won't crash any more but you
won't be able to watch to video in high resolution.

extract from NVidia's README:

-----

- Fixed problem on TNT and TNT2 where Xv(Shm)PutImage returned BadAlloc in
high resolutions when there was not enough video bandwidth to display
the YUV video overlay correctly. This works now but the resulting
  display has artifacts.

-----

So to watch some video you have to lower your resolution, it works both with
0.9-6 and 0.9-769 except that it doesn't crash lamentably in high resolution.

Regards,
