Stability of ts input

hmm... i took the 0.2.70 version of the vlc client and tried checking it out
for the input ts streams. i am unable to get it working, tried hard, can you
tell me what did you, firstly i can see that with ts as input stream you can
only specify server and port number and no file inputs. so i went ahead and
wrote a dummy server which just pushes data to the vlc program but no
success. can you tell me precisely whether i can get what i want from the
version mentioned above and if i can, can you please tell me the syntax and
better if i can get a working ts stream which i can test out with vlc.
