1) which ofthe videolan team worked on the osx port?  ... speciically the
quartz and altivec elements?
2) is this a unix app with an mac front end? ... a carbon app? ... a MACH-O
app? a cocoa app?

3) will the mac/win team integrate videolan into the quicktime architecture
(even if just at the codev level ... i refer to quicktime because it is the
official format for mpeg4).
