You shouldn't have anything to do because in your case vlc failed to detect 
the multimedia extensions of your processor (mmx ...) so it should simply 
fall-back to the non accelerated plugin by itself.

If you can't make vlc work, you can try to send to this list the debug output 
you've got when you run "vlc -vvvvv"
