Voodoo 3 working better

I think you're right, we're achieved the same quality, but not the totally
smooth that another people looks to have obtained with another video
cards. As i told you before, i think that maybe the bottleneck is in tfdx
Xfree driver, but i don't know much about Xservers so this is only a
guess. I was trying to use Xine too, and it looks faster, at least for me
with a Voodoo3, but the downside it hasn't support for CSS. There is a
module out there to add support, but it looks a bit obsolete and I cannot
make it work. In the other hard, vlc support for browsing chapters,
languages and subtitles is far better than xine. Sad we cannot get real
smooth video playing.
For those that are reading this list, has anybody configured vlc with
a Voodoo3 and obtained real smooth DVD playing ? If so, please let us know
what config did you use to get it.
