To choose a video output with vlc, just use the "--vout" option
(eg: --vout sdl). There's a brief explanation of the commands available when
you type vlc --help.

If you want to use the SDL output, you must also make sure you've installed
libsdl-1.2.1 (if you can't find it on redhat web site, go to www.libsdl.org).

Try also to install if you can XFree 4.0.3 (or 4.1.0) because I'm quite sure
that its default nvidia driver has support for the GeForce and Xvideo. (you
will have to uninstall the nvidia driver you installed)
