Voodoo3 & XVideo

As some people pointed before, it seems the support for XVideo in Voodoo
cards is broken. vlc show several errors when trying to allocate an
xvimage, and other aplicattions using xvideo (xawtv) shows a black
screen. But Xvinfo list the 3dfx card (so what that means?? it's supported
or not?). Also it lists that the only operation supported is PutImage
while the device v4l supports PutVideo.

I'm using Xfree 4.0.3, so if the problem is in tdfx driver, what needs to
be fixed? maybe is fixed in 4.1.0? Or is there somebody working on it? Am
i asking too much questions ;) ?
