Slackware 8 problems

I had a similar problem with the gnome interface. For some reason vlc wouldn't
find the gnome plugin. My quick fix was to move "gnome" from the "PLUGINS" list
to the "BUILTINS" list in vlc/Makefile.opts and then it worked.
