Slackware 8 Hell

ok, vlc -V sdl works ! a littel choppy but atleast it work.... this machine has
a nvidia tnt2 in it and my laptop is an ati rage pro and is smooth as all hell,
is there a way to take advantage of a 3d card such as the tnt2 ?
