On my Athlon/500 (128mb ram) with a TNT2-Card (using the nvidia-driver, not
the ones that come with xfree 4), dvd playback is smooth.

But at the moment I don't have a dvd-drive, so I just tried vlc with some
.VOB files ripped and decssed on a windows machine of a friend of mine.
