Segfault with subtitles

Hi,

I recently downloaded vlc 0.2.80 and it almost works fine. The problem
is that I have some Chinese spoken DVDs (like Crouching Tiger, Hidden
Dragon). So I would like to have some subtitles. But if I select a
subtitle language, the program crashes. Often I get some PES fifo full
messages before the crash. Is this a known bug, or did I do something
wrong? I compiled the source without glide and ggi (what is ggi by the
way?).
