System to slow?

That's a bit slow. The best I have seen is sam's Celeron 374 displaying
25 fps.

Your Windows player may use additional hardware acceleration to achieve
50 fps. You may want to tune your system ; install XFree 4.0.x with
a driver doing overlay (nVidia's probably does) and SDL.
