Redhat 7.2 beta and vlc 0.2.9

I tried compiling from source but i just get a crash when i try playing a 
dvd. I've tried installing from rpms but it says it needs libSDL-1.1.so.0 and 
libXv.so.1. I guess the SDL isn't important unless you use SDL output, and i 
just put a link to the 1.2 version i have anyway. But what about the Xv? It 
doesn't seem to be included in any of the XFree86-4.1 rpms, and i can't find 
any suitable alternatives on rpmfind.net
