vlc error when starting

Hi VideoLAN team,

I'm trying to install vlc 0.3.0 and 'configure' and 'make' look OK, but 
I have errors when starting vlc.

	intf error: no suitable intf module
	intf error: interface initialization failed

I have no idea what I'm missing.
