vlc error when starting

 It seems you could not compile any of the available interface plugins.
Did you have the required development libs (for example gnome-dev for
the gnome interface etc.) ? What did the configure say about the modules
that should be built ?

 You had absolutely no error during the make or it went thru with some
warnings / partial errors ?
