Audio low while playing SVCDs

When I play SVCDs on the Mac OS X build, I've realized that the audio levels
are noticeably lower than if you play a normal VCD or DVD.  There are no
desync problems, but I have to turn the volume up much higher than if I play
the other two formats.  Does anyone else see this behavior?
