I GOT IT...
installed a toshiba with pcmcia card...
loaded the stable tarball...
loaded libdvdcss...
compiled libdvdcss
compiled vlc using --dvd-enable
have to set DVDCSS_METHOD=title
tell it to play and IT DOES...
one minor problem...
the picture and audio are slightly jerky...
can not set dma on this drive (hde) i figure because of the pcmcia card...
any remedy or hints on the jerkiness of the picture
