vlc compile error in redhat 7.3 kde

Thank you for your help.
After KDE
I tried to compile in gnome environment.
There is no error messages:
But as I launch
./vlc dvd:/dev/dvd
VideoLAN Client - version 0.4.3_2002-07-31 Ourumov - (c) 1996-2002 VideoLAN
I have the following messages.
rc: remote control interface initialized, `h' for help
intf error: failed ioctl KDSETMODE KD_GRAPHICS
intf error: cant get terminal mode (Invalid argument)
intf error: failed ioctl KDSETMODE KD_TEXT
vout error: no suitable vout module
vpar error: can't open vout, aborting
rc: pos: 1 s / 8735 s
rc: pos: 2 s / 8735 s
rc: pos: 3 s / 8735 s
rc: pos: 4 s / 8735 s
What is wrong.
