the osx version already supports playlist, simply name your files for
example starwars2-cd1,starwars2-cd2,starwars2-cd3, and put them in the same
directory. then from the vlc menu select open file then navigate to the
directory where your 3 files are stored are stored and shift select the
bottom file (ie cd3 in list view) this will select all files and begin
playing the first file, and then when that reaches the end will start on the
second file automatically- and so on

Only thing that I would like to see is it do it without the slight gap
between files - but hey a second or two won't kill me :)
