Hello,

  Actually it is possible to do that with the VideoLAN server. The file
ps2ts.cpp belongs to the vls; the vls only works under Linux today.

  The vls reads files or DVDs, and send then in MPEG2-TS thougth a
network. But it is possible to make the output be a file, so that you
should convert any MPEG1 or 2 into MPEG2-TS.

  Have a look in the vls.cfg to configure the file output.
