vlc error INPUT_MAX_ALLOCATION reached?

Could this be similar to the problem I reported early last January?  At that 
time I DYD NOT have an audio board:

 -- If I started the DVD playing, paused the play, used the interface to 
disable the audio; then there wasn't an problem.  (I never tested the command 
line "--noaudio" opition.)

 -- If I started the DVD playing, did nothing but watch; then something used 
up the input buffers and generated this error message (also froze video 
playback, interface, etc).
