VideoLAN Client 0.3.1 --enable-kde

Hi,
i'm using Red Hat 7.2 on HP OMNIBOOK XE3

I downloaded the tarball of VideoLAN Client 0.3.1.
did :
        ./configure --enable-esd --enable-gnome
        make
        make install

Everything is working perfectly on gnome shell ( VLC ROCKS !!! Great prog.)

but, when executing VLC on KDE shell I have no sound and the program crach's after 1 minute or so.
browsing to configuration options of the ./configure script i saw --enable-kde plugin
I tried :
        ./configure --enable-esd --enable-gnome --enable-kde
        make
and got a lot of error messages saying 
        "invalid use of undefined type 'class KStatusBar'"
and then
        [Kde_interface.lo.kde] Error 1

I have my system configured and ready for KDE shell.
How can I use de KDE plugin ?
