VLC was developed by and is copyrighted by so many different people
that it's highly unlikely you'll ever get it under another licence than
the GPL.
How familiar are you with the GPL? Don't its requirements suit you?
It does not forbid commercial redistribution at all, and depending on
how you interface it with the rest of your software, you don't neces-
sarily need to provide source code for your application. If you want
more explanations on what is allowed and what is not, you can have a
look at the GPL FAQ on www.gnu.org, or ask us again if you have
questions that are specific to VideoLAN.
