[vlc] VideoLAN in french

Hi,

I've see on the CVS that there is .po files.

More exactly for my need : a fr.po file.

Are the translations ready ?
If yes, how to use them ?

Cause I'll plan to use VLC on french public access computers, and it would 
be nice for the users if VLC could be in french.
