Subject: Running VLC off a CDROM

I'd like to be able to run the windows version of VLC directly off a
CD-ROM (from an Autorun.inf file). However it doesn't seem to run from a
read only device. I assume it is trying to create temporary files. Is
there any way to make it run from a CD? Any help or suggestions would be
appreciated.
