VLC won't display streamed mpeg

Hi,

On RH7.2 Linux (kernel 2.4.18 USAGI IPv6), vlc will not display IPv6 stream
of mpeg file.

The mpeg file is playable locally, through network with IPv4 with vlms. But
with vls, I can see the stream being received on the client with tcpdump but
not
displayed graphically with vlc (in IPv6 and IPv4).

Are there any configuration options in vlc that might need setting that are
different
for vls and vlms?
