[vlc] Re: problem after upgrade

I had the same symptoms running VideoLan v5.02 on W98SE after upgrading from
DirectX 8 to Direct X 9. Another symptom was my ATI TV and DVD apps wouldn't
even show an image. Luckily it's just a test computer I was wanting to
reformat, anyways. I'm just finishing up the reinstalling by making a disk
image (with my old copy of  Disk Image Pro 4, Norton Ghost can do it as well
by I don't have that) in case I screw it up again...

Are you sure there are no other software changes besides the verion of
VideoLan?
What version of DirectX are you running?
