[vlc] no sound

Hello 

I compiled succefully VLC under Mandrake 9.0

I get sound only under root account. I have no clue to look at a
specific file for right managment.
as I use esd, it sould work without specific permission

some other issues
the name of vlc is always natalya

compiling with --enable-ffmpeg gives a compilation error about the
avcodec.h file avan if ffmpeg ic compiled and intalled correctly
