The modification hasn't been put into the cvs for two reasons:
1 - IMHO your fix doesn't actually solve the problem but works around it. The problem lies in the way the i_wait delay is calculated.
2 - The guy who's in charge of the stream output is on holiday right now.
Hopefully all the problems that are left will be solved when he comes back.
