[vlc] Problem with subtitle in VLS 0.50 on MacOS X

Hello,

Recently I installed VLC 0.50 on MacOS X. Works very smothly, except 
for one thing. For one DivX movie I also downloaded a subtitle file wih 
the extension .srt. It is recognized as such, but I am not able to use 
it. According to the instructions I should open both files, but I 
cannot.

How do I use the subtitle file? I know it is experimental, but I would 
like to try it out.
