[vlc] Subtitles on Divx

Hi,

I am running vlc on Mac OS X 10.2, and I would like to know if it is 
possible to use subtitles with Divx?

I saw on the development page that this feature is only available from 
CVS... so I downloaded the sources from CVS and tried to compile but it 
failed. Is there another solution? Will it be available in the next 
release of vlc?
