Dear Gildas,
I confirm that the block of the video rendering during multicast streaming 
has been solved in the CVS. I've extensively tested the CVS version of the 
player and it's very stable also if playing a looping video-clip streamed 
over multicast IP.
However installation from CVS was a pain; not really difficult, but time 
consuming. So I'll send a small how-to with ALL the steps to install the CVS 
version on Redhat 9.0; maybe this could speed up the debug problem.
