Hi,
I recently decided to give VLC a try, as a replacement of Xine.
I am experiencing many troubles at compile time, and after during utilisation.
I failed to build vlc-0.5.3, and decided to try vlc0.6.0-test1. After many
failures due to libraries linking errors, i finally made it.
Now i have 2 problems left :
1- the gtk/gnome gui is unusually big (in 1024x768 it juts out over the screen)
2- i have no sound at all through the ALSA plugin
I am running :
- kernel 2.4.20
- ALSA 0.9.3
- gtk+ 1.2.10
- gnome 1.4
below is the report delivered by vlc at startup time :
VideoLAN Client 0.6.0-test1 Natalya

Many thanks if you can help me!
