[vlc] OS X launch problems

Several users have complained that their VLC wouldn't launch any more
(after a few bounces the VLC icon just disappears from the dock). I
have seen that today, and it appears that VLC outputs :
plist parse failed; the data is not proper UTF-8. The file name
for this data could be:
org.videolan.vlc.plist -- /Users/<user>/Library/Preferences/
The parser will retry as in 10.1, but the problem should be
corrected in the plist.
Segmentation fault
A solution is to remove that file
~/Library/Preferences/org.videolan.vlc.plist
I have no explanation why this file becomes corrupt.
