[vlc] problem on suspending/resuming the stream with the remote control interface of vlc

hello 
I use VLC 0.5.3 on windows 2K to stream video to the client (VLC 0.5.3 on
W2K too)and I use the remote control interface (command line) to control the
stream.
when I command a pause and if I wait more than in 1 min to resume, VLC
doesn't stream the video any more. but it doesn't give errors and reaches
the end of the file !
have someone an idea of what goes wrong?
