[vlc] Problem with xvideo-output vlc-0.5.3

Hello,

I have the problem that the xvideo-output window closes immediatly with the
message :
main video output error: plugin was unable to allocate at least one direct
buffer

I could use X11-output, but it is too slow in full-window-modus.

The built was made with following packages :

a52dec-0.7.4
ffmpeg-cvs-2003-03-04
gettext-0.11.5
libdvbpsi-0.1.2
libdvdcss-1.2.6
libdvdplay-1.0.1
libdvdread-0.9.3
mad-0.14.2b
vlc-0.5.3

Anybody any idea ?
