Dear Mr. Compton,
I trust you may not have viewed the licensing agreement for the VLC
Media Player, but the software and even its source code are completely
free to distribute. No permission is necessary. Due to the DMCA
(Digital Millenium Copyright Act), there may be a grey area regarding
the implementation of CSS, the algorithm for unscrambling protected
DVD's, in the U.S. You may wish to consult your legal team before
continuing.
