[vlc] error compiling with --with-libmpeg2-tree option

Hi Guys 
There is a problem when i try to compile vlc with 
--with-libmpeg-tree=/"path to libmpeg2" 
knowing that i have the latest snapshot of mpeg2dec
and the latest snapshot of vlc dated 9/10/2003

If you know any workaround this , I'll be much
gratefull
