As explained in the documentation, vls is unable to stream ES files,
it can only do PS and TS.

However, using vlc's stream output, you should be able to convert your
files to TS or PS (please refer to the VideoLAN Howto)

This is just a debug messages: VLC tries to find RTP (a transmission
protocol) headers to probe whether it is RTP or not.
