[vlc] Audio out-of-sync

Hi--

I'm sorry if you all saw this question already, but I lost all my email a
couple of days ago, and saw no response...so please accept my apologies for
the repeat query :)

I have a rather long (650MB) .avi file which has the audio portion our of
sync. I looked at the FAQ and tried each audio codec in succession, to no
avail.

Is there a way to extract the audio portion and paste it back in at the
correct location, or short of that, to save the file out in some other
format which could be opened say in QuickTime so the audio portion could be
extracted and corrected?

Thank you :)

All My Best,
Jeffrey
