[vlc] opening separate audio file in vlc 0.7.2 mac

Hi folks,

a friend of me made his own film and gave me two
separate files , on for video and one for audio (mp3)

now i would like to watch the film while listening to the sound
synncronous, but i can't find any option how to play the sound in vlc
while playing the video??
