[vlc] [vlc]-Subtitles

Hallo Everybody,

I have a little problem and perhaps somebody could give me a solution.
When I'm watching a movie with subtitles, I have the problem that the pictures are
slowed when too much text is to be shown in these subtitles. 
Without subtitles or with less text, everything is perfect and fast
I have 2 questions:
- Do you think it could be because my processor (Athlon 1700XP) or my graphic card are too slow?
- Is it possible to put the subtitles under the movie in the black part of the screen?
