If you 'Shark' VLC while playing MPEG-2, you'll see it spends a lot of
its time in the display thread in a QuickTimeComponents function called
"YUV422_UC_To2VUY_W1x" which converts YUV422 to 2VUY. It's a rather
unoptimized function at that. :'(
