[vlc] issues with 0.7.0

[JRB]

I am running into issues with this version that I wasn't before.

1) artifacts and jerkiness in playback
2) inability to jump from chapter-to-chapter. When i try to, the movie 
goes back to the beginning of the DVD.
3) DVD menu screen isn't displayed in its proper format, it appears to 
be squashed down to a 4:3 ratio.

Thanks in advance.

PS: any hope of being able to select a certain section of the dvd 
playback and then copy that to a QuickTime format?
