[vlc] Trouble using VLC as streaming client for DVArchive on Mac OS X (10.3)

I've installed the following on my Mac, which is currently running Mac
OS 10.3.2:
DVArchive 2.1
VLC 0.7.0 (Bond)
DVArchive is working fine and I'm able to download entire recordings
from my ReplayTV. I've set DVArchive to execute "vlc" on the command
line for streaming movies. I've also confirmed that VLC works great if
I use it to view a locally stored movie that I downloaded from my
ReplayTV. However, when I try stream playback of a movie store on the
ReplayTV box, VLC just launches and sits there. The movie doesn't play
and there's no change in Progress % in DVArchive. It remains at 0%. If
I capture the URL that DVArchive is sending to VLC and connect to it
using a Web browser, the file starts to download as expected and I see
visible progress in DVArchive's Progress %.
I've attached the verbose log output for VLC for one of these streaming
attempts, in case that helps.
I've tried everything that I can think of and read through the archives
for this mailing list. I'm at a loss. If anyone out there has a hint,
suggestion or outright solution, I'd greatly appreciate your help.
