[vlc] webcam streaming

Hi there I'm trying to use vlc to stream webcam video over my network
using the streaming wizard. I can successfully:
1 - stream a file, 
2 - save webcam video in a file
3 - watch webcam video on the screen
but I can't stream the live video.
Any clue?
Any reply appreciated.
