The solution is for your team to release stables. Untill then we use 
unstable snapshot when releasing our stable.

I find this rather dangerous from a support standpoint. It is easier for 
us to use a known version (even with all its inherited problems) the 
VideoLAN team tested its stable against, then have that Live.COM version 
change on the fly without us knowing. I a user reports a problem with 
RTSP/RTP then we at least know which live.com library it is using. 
Otherwise we had to guess and that means we do not control our own 
release cycle.

For our unstable branch I do not see any objections. But for our stable 
branch I find the suggested link undesirable and bad practise.
